Hey sound crew, Just giving you all a heads up for something that will probably be true for the foreseeable future. Recently NPC has been getting a virus software upgrade. Unfortunately, this software takes more system resources. If you were in worship this past week, you will have noticed that the videos in PowerPoint were quite jerky, which was due to the software upgrade. Dale found a partial solution by lowering the resolution for the secondary display in PowerPoint. However, there is still a slight possibility of some jerkiness. The complete solution to this, then, is to go to the Task Manager and assign powerpoint.exe a priority of ÒAbove-NormalÓ. Be sure to assign it to the PowerPoint process. Also, DONÕT set the priority any higher as it may create problems. Since it usually falls to the sound crew to get PowerPoint up and running AND since youÕre all technologically savvy, this task is going to fall to yÕall, IÕm afraid. I will try to remember to include these directions on any week that we have a video in the worship service. However, this will always apply even if I forget. SO if you all could make note of this, thatÕd be great.
